With the whole of Lancashire under Tier 3 restrictions, your university life no doubt looks very different to previous years. And with no outdoor or indoor socializing allowed, except with the people you live with, each day can feel like it drags. Staying productive during this time is a great way to help establish some kind of routine. But how?
Top tips for staying productive under Tier 3 restrictions
There are a number of ways that you can be productive while under Tier 3 restrictions. These include:
- Working on a project- if you have a university assignment, exam or project coming up, you can use some of this time to prepare. Try to complete just a little bit of this every day, and you will feel a sense of achievement for working productively, even if it’s just for an hour or two. This can be a great confidence boost too, helping to keep up your morale.
- Cooking and eating healthy meals- with so much time on your hands, why not practice your culinary skills. Making healthy meals with ingredients is often much cheaper than frozen meals or takeaways, and can taste great too. Cooking can also be a productive way to spend some time each time, and it’s something you can share with your flatmates too.
- Don’t skip lessons- Tier 3 restrictions can be tough on mental health, and this makes it difficult to follow through with plans, like attending lessons in person, or those that are online. But if you can, you should make sure you attend as much as possible. Not only is this good for your learning, it’s also a good way to balance routine, and break up the long days too.
