If you’ve just started university, you might be finding it difficult to keep up with all the new demands. From the Covid rules and regulations, to your new lectures, assignments and social activities, you’re probably extremely busy. So how can you keep organised, and find the time for everything you need to do? Well, here at Let Pads, we are Preston’s number one student accommodation provider, and we know how challenging life as a student can be. As a result, we have produced this guide to staying organised in your first university term.
Different methods of staying organised in your first university term
Some of the different methods to keep you organised and on track include:
- Planning your time- some students opt for a traditional wall planner or calendar where deadlines can be written down and stay visual throughout the day, while others opt to digitally plan their time. Either option can be a great idea, depending on your preferences. The important thing is keeping your deadlines in mind, so that you can have these completed on time. This should be your number one priority.
- Consider your budget- its not just your studies that need to be well thought out, its also your budget. In the first term, it can be easy to overspend and underestimate how much you will need for the rest of the weeks ahead. As a result, you will also need to plan and organize your budget too. Important things like rent and food should be prioritized, with other items taking up less of your budget.
