This year the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is set to create an Open Day experience with a difference, by opening the doors to prospective students and the families. While the intended Open Day on the 26th June can no longer take place, due to the current Covid 19 restrictions, the weekend campus tours are a brilliant way for students and their families to see the state of the art facilities the university has to offer. These campus tours will take place for individual family groups on the 25, 26 and 27 June.

Speaking on the matter, UCLan’s Chief Marketing Officer Ruth Connor said:

“We are of course disappointed not to be able to host our full Open Day experience as planned but safety is paramount, and we are committed to following government guidelines. We’ve been hosting campus tours for individual families for the last few weeks and have received fantastic feedback. We will roll these out for an extended period over the weekend of the 25, 26 and 27 June to safely welcome as many visitors as we can onto campus. We appreciate how important it is for future students and their families to get a proper feel for the University and our campus tours go a long way towards providing this. Visitors can chat to current students about life at UCLan, view where they will be studying, visit our Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre, view the new multi-million pound Student Centre and University Square.”

If you are a potential UCLAN student, you will need to book early to secure your place on the tour. You can book your place via the UCLan website.

The tours are suitable for up to 5 people, are approximately one hour long, and will meet at Foster Square at the Enginnering Innovation Centre.
