With a new social media campaign, #MyPreston, The University of Central Lancashire is showcasing the best of living, working, socialising and studying in Preston. As part of the campaign, people are encourgared to share their own experiences and content using the #MyPreston hashtag, to show to the rest of the UK, and the world, what Preston has to offer.

UCLan hopes that the campaign will help to prospective talent to Preston, including new University students at all levels, while also celebrating Reston and its cultural heritage, and friendly city lifestyle.

Speaking on the matter a spokesperson from UCLan has said:

“Whether it’s a hidden corner of the city to explore, the natural beauty of the great outdoors, vibrant nightlife or foodie culture on our doorstep, the campaign aims to generate and amplify the voices of local businesses and residents, as well as our student community, to highlight the very best we have to offer.”

To get the campaign off to a great start, UCLan has produced a range of content that will be shared across across its digital platforms, including a video featuring current students. This video footage was made with help from Preston College make up artistry students and you can check it out on YouTube.

Its not just UCLan that have been working to get this project off the ground as many local businesses and organisations participated in the production of the video, including: Preston City Council, Lancashire County Council, Cartmel Barbers, Rise Brunch, Green Pheasant Gifts, Secret Garden, The Level Preston, Market Street Social, Avanti West Coast, Preston Market, Hollywood Exports, Action Records, Plau Gin and Beer House, Baluga, Coco’s Soul Food, and Holy Grounds Coffee and Doughnuts.
